Question
Is the treatment safe for my plants, pets and gutters?
It is a plant-based product, not a solvent or a coating. The owner chose it partly because he spends his time outdoors and did not want to spray something he would not want running off his own roof.
We still cover and rinse what needs it. If you have a garden bed, a dog run or a rain barrel under a downspout, tell us at the inspection and we will plan around it.
The practical precautions are simple. Plants directly under a working slope get covered, downspouts get attention where they feed something you care about, and anything that collects water for later use is worth mentioning before the crew starts rather than after.
Pets are easier than people expect. Because there is no tear-off there are no nails in the grass and no debris field to clear up afterwards. Most owners keep animals indoors for the working hours and that is enough.
Gutters see less from a treatment than from a replacement, because none of the grit and granules that come off a tear-off end up in them. If your gutters do need clearing we will tell you and quote it separately rather than fold it in quietly.
